Stewardship is something that often gets reduced to simply financial consideration. In biblical thinking it is far more. The Christian life is a life of stewardship. In this upcoming study through September we’ll think together about stewardship and working towards being faithful and wise stewards of God’s gifts.
Here is the information for the first week:
Title: Gospel Stewardship
Big Idea: The Gospel rescues us from squandering God’s good gifts by making us stewards of them.
Outline: 3 foundational conclusions about the gifts of God.
(1) God is the owner & giver of all good things. (Psalm 24:1; James 1:17; 1 Cor. 4.7)
(2) Sin corrupts God’s good gifts by making them about us. (Romans 1:18-25; Luke 12:13-20, 15:11-19)
(3) The Gospel liberates us to glorify God through faithful stewardship. (Luke 15:20-23; 5:27-32; 1 Cor. 4:1-2; 2 Cor. 12.15)
